Jones Lang Lasalle is a multinational property consultancy company providing commercial real estate services for corporations and investors across the globe.
They had been a Meta One client for many years, so they naturally turned to us when they launched their new global brand. We worked closely with their brand and services team to make sure that when it went live, it would do so throughout their organisation.
JLL’s new brand was a bold and complex one that reflected the breadth of their activities. Our task was to ensure that users would embrace it. This could have been problematic. After all, the new brand offered a choice of 30 to 40 different cover designs for any document or report.
Our solution had to guide users through the process, so that they could build documents quickly and easily and choose the right design without being overwhelmed.
The key task was to reduce the number of stages the user had to negotiate to the absolute minimum. So, we combined the range of options into a concise, bespoke MS Word template solution with a customised ribbon, and an interface that clearly showed the choices the users needed to make.
We worked directly with JLL’s IT department to check that the files to be installed were compatible with their environment and to work out the best way to package them for implementation.
We also had the templates tested by a group of super users prior to installation and, finally, briefed the training company who were introducing the new templates to the end-users.
